This project launched by AIER School of Ophthalmology, CSU, selected 19 high level scientific research team around the world that including Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Africa, covering six continents and three races of myopia big data collection and analysis. Based on the research of visual behavior, visual environment and other factors between different regions and races, to ensure the relationship between these factors and individual's myopia development, which is expected to fill the blank in the field of individual's myopia pathogenesis, and crack the “century problem”.

Master student advisor of AIER School of Ophthalmology, CSU, Deputy Director of AIER Institute of Optometry and Visual Science, adjunct professor weizhong Lan introduced that “cloud clip” collected data will send to the global cloud storage. Through the big data technology, as well as medical experts analyze and study the data obtained, it provides scientific prevention and treatment of myopia for doctors and parents.

Mr. Bang Chen, the chairman of AIER Group, expresses: “This global myopia research project is the second time we will lead the development of scientific research and technology in the field of global ophthalmology and visual science, since AIER Group successfully acquired the Europe Clínica Baviera Group in last year September and becomes the world's largest ophthalmology group. This project will not only lays a solid foundation on strategy layout of “produce-education-research” integration, but also effectively use the international platform advantages of AIER Group, to foster scientific and technological innovation team and gathering innovation resources, as well as effectively improve scientific research transformation, to achieve “Enabling everyone, whether rich or poor, has the right to eye health” ”
