Although AIER is an ophthalmology specialized hospital group, in the face of a major epidemic, our doctors and nurses volunteered for aid, regardless of remuneration and death, and devote themselves to the forefront to fight against the epidemic! Showing the courage and selflessness of AIER People!" On February 8th, the Provincial Government of Hunan Provincial Party Committee named AIER Eye Hospital Group's performance and responsibility in the prevention and control of the epidemic in a thanking note.

Sparing no effort to fight the epidemic and improve medical serviceability.

The unexpected epidemic has given us a huge challenge at the beginning of 2020. In order to meet the overall requirements of the prevention and control to COVID-19, and to ensure the safety of our patients and employees, the general outpatient clinics of AIER's hospitals have been closed! We must strictly guard against visible risks, Invisible and sudden risks are the touchstone to test our ability!

While fully cooperating with the prevention and control of the epidemic, our medical staff risked being infected and overcame all difficulties, opened emergency clinics to meet the needs of emergency treatment for some patients with eye trauma and glaucoma. As of February 16th, a total of more than 40,000 cases were received in the emergency department. At the same time, various hospitals have also opened one-on-one expert online consultation platforms and hotline services for patients, allowing patients to consult with professional doctors online for free, which guaranteed patients' personal safety and medical needs.

It is no denying that although the general outpatient clinic is closed, AIER's mission to keep eye-health for patients cannot pause.

This special vacation caused by the epidemic are exactly the time to forge teams and increase strength. The Group's training department and BUs have step up the online training for medical staff who were trapped at home. The Group has launched the "Research Capability Enhancement Plan during the Epidemic" specifically for scientific researchers, compiling nearly 100,000 words of general guidance courseware on scientific research capabilities, which creates a good atmosphere for them to research and study. It is their unremitting pursuit of professional ability and quality that can provide patients a higher quality medical service, and also build up our confidence for establishing a century-enterprise!

The prevention and control of COVID-19 is not only a battle against the epidemic, but also a test for our responsibility. Our country is the strong backing of AIER, and AIER can be the strong backing of AIER's employees.

Mr. Li Li, the President of AIER Eye Hospital Group, Said that after the end of the epidemic, AIER will increase investment in Hubei as soon as possible to support the development of AIER·Hubei. At the same time, the Group will further increase the recruitment of senior medical professionals globally. AIER will not let the epidemic obstruct AIER’s development but take the opportunity to take off again!

2020 is the year that our country completes the process of building a moderately well-off society in all aspects, the last year of "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", and the second decade of AIER’s new journey. Although the epidemic has caused a huge impact on our society, but under the strong leadership of the Party and the government, we believe: Winter will eventually pass, and spring is sure to come! After the rain, there will be more bright sunshine!
