AIER Eye Hospital Group officially has a seat on the board of the World Association of Eye Hospital

World Association of Eye Hospitals (referred to as WAEH) announced at its online annual meeting held on September 8, 2021, that AIER Eye Hospital Group (referred to as AIER) officially became a member of the board of the WAEH. President of AIER Mr. Li Li attended the meeting as the representative. In the future, Mr. Li will represent AIER with the representatives from the following ten board members, as well as participate in the management and strategic decision-making of the association.

The new board members include King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, whose representative is Dr. Abdulaziz AIRajhi.

AIER has officially joined the Board of the WAEH

 

AIER has been actively participating in related meetings since it became a member of WAEH in February 2018. Since the virus go on a rampage last year, AIER with more than 40 eye medical facilities around the globe including the WAEH, organizing 9 online seminars on COVID-19 countermeasures for eye hospitals and sharing the AIER experience. As an industry leader, with more than 5 hundred people attended meetings, AIER summarized its experience in effective COVID-19 prevention and issued 5 editions of Guidelines for Pandemic Prevention in Ophthalmic Hospitals to share with the world AIER's knowledge. While proving to WAEH the level and ability of AIER to deal with international affairs, it has also greatly increased its influence in the organization and members.

<Big Data Analysis of Myopia Surgery In China>,published by AIER in the first half of 2021, has also been highly recognized by WAEH and published on its official website for reference by eye medical facilities around the globe. In the fourth quarter of this year, we also used this platform to introduce <Big Data Analysis of Myopia Surgery In China> to its 55 member institutions, with an analysis based on 1 million eyes in the AIER database, to share AIER’s experience and refractive solutions in the long run.

The WAEH is the global association of eye hospitals has been established in 2007 in the Netherlands by the following eight eye hospitals: Singapore National Eye Centre (Singapore)、Moorfields Eye Hospital (London, UK)、The Rotterdam Eye Hospital (Rotterdam, The Netherlands)、Tun Hussein On National Eye Hospital (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)、Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (Melbourne, Australia)、Hospital Leuven (Leuven, Belgium)、Rutnin Eye Hospital (Bangkok, Thailand)、St. Erik Eye Hospital (Stockholm, Sweden). The New Chir Executive Board is Mrs. Cathy Kowalewski, COO Wilmer Eye Hospital, Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, U.S.A. All member-hospitals are “centres of excellence” in ophthalmology. This means that they are all focused on delivering the best and most safe ophthalmic care with high quality medical consultation experience, people-oriented service and more accurate diagnosis and treatment. Moreover, all member-hospitals are committed to the parallel introduction and absorption of international ophthalmic technology and medical management concepts while summarizing and sharing eye health expertise.
